A new MY2021 Subaru X5 has received some styling updates to its already handsome profile. XV is Engineered to deliver superior handling and all-road, all-weather capabilities like no other SUV in its class.

Subaru XV comes standard with Subaru’s now legendary Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, making it one of the safest handling cars in class. The cabin boasts high-quality soft touch materials with leather seats on the Subaru XV 2.0i-S ES CVT. The power sun roof allows that gorgeous ambient light to enter the cabin with a cargo area designed with versatility and ease-of-use in mind. The 60/40 split rear seats fold flat for easier loading.

Both Subaru XV derivatives are fitted with a 2.0-litre direct injection, 4 cylinder, Boxer® petrol Engine with 115kW and maximum torque is 196Nm. The engine is mated to a lightweight Lineartronic® CVT transmission with a 7-speed manual mode as well that is operable via paddle shifts behind the steering wheel. Top speed is 193km/h and CO2 emissions are 168g/km.

The XV’s entire drive system from the Boxer engine to the rear differential is mounted in a straight symmetrical line delivering stability and balance. Built on the new Subaru Global platfrom ensures great increases in body rigidity through the use of high-tensile steel materials. Other benefits are reduced twisting force of the frame and body through the suspension system.

The XV is also equipped with X-Mode and Hill Descent Control. With 220mm of ground clearance, the Subaru XV is more capable than ever.

When it comes to technology, the XV is a full-house offering in both safety and convenience tech systems. The XV boasts Bluetooth, AUX and Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto connectivity. These are all operable via voice control or Siri Eyes Free as well as through the 6.2 or 8-ince touchscreen interface. These combine with a Multi-function information display. Keyless entry, SATNAV with TomTom mapping, climate control and a multi-function steering wheel are just some of the key tech pieces on offer in the Subaru XV.

To keep an ‘eye’ on the read of the vehicle, Subaru Vision Assist uses radar warnings of objects behind the vehicle and features Blind Spot Monitor (BSM); Lane Change Assist (LCA); Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA); Reverse Automatic Breaking (RAB).
